CSM Lemuel L. Brock was born in Saint Louis, Missouri and enlisted in the United States Army in 1986. He attended Basic Training at Fort Knox, Kentucky and Advance Individual Training at Fort Gordon, Georgia graduating as a 25U (Signal Support Systems Specialist)

CSM Brock has held every leadership position to include: Squad leader, Section Sergeant, Platoon Sergeant, Recruiter, Drill Sergeant, Battalion Communications Chief, First Sergeant and Brigade Operations Sergeant Major. CSM Brock's previous duty assignments include HHB Divarty, 3D Armor Division, Hanau, Germany. C Co, 121st Signal Battalion, Fort Riley, Kansas; Jackson Recruiting Battalion, Jackson, Mississippi; D Co, 369th Signal Battalion, Fort Gordon, Georgia; HHC, 1-72nd Armor Battalion, Camp Casey, Korea; HHC, 2-101st Aviation Battalion, Fort Campbell, Kentucky; B Co., 426th Forward Support Battalion, Fort Campbell, Kentucky; HHT, 11th ACR, Regimental Support Battalion, Fort Irwin, California; United States Army Sergeants Major Academy, Fort Bliss, Texas; 22nd Signal Brigade, Darmstadt, Germany; 86th Integrated Tactical Signal Battalion (ITSB), Fort Huachuca, Arizona, 56th Signal Battalion, Fort Gordon, Georgia. He is currently assigned as the Command Sergeant Major of Joint Communication Support Element (JCSE).

CSM Brock's military education includes the Warrior Leaders Course, Tactical Communication Officer and Chief Course, Unit Level Maintenance Course, Advanced Leaders Course, Army Recruiting Course, Recruiting Station Commanders Course, Airborne Training Course, Senior Leaders Course, Drill Sergeant Instructor Course, Junior Revised Battlefield Electronics Communications Systems Course, Small Group Instructor Training Course, Air Assault Course, Pathfinder Course, First Sergeant Course, Modern Army Combative Course and the United States Army Sergeants Major Course.

CSM Brock's awards and decorations include: The Bronze Star (2 OLC), Meritorious Service Medal (6th OLC), Army Commendation Medals (5th OLC), Army Achievement Medals (4th OLC), Good Conduct Medal (8th Award), National Defense Service Medal (w/Star), Southwest Asia Service Medal (3-BS), NCO Professional Development (4), Armed Force Service Medal, Korea Service Medal, Overseas Service Ribbon (4), Kuwait Liberation Medal (Kingdom of Saudi Arabia), Kuwait Liberation Medal (Government of Kuwait), Iraq Campaign Medal (3-BS), Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, The Gold German Marksmanship and Gold German Proficiency Badges, Recruiter Badge, Parachutist Badge, Pathfinder Badge, Air Assault Badge, Drill Sergeant Badge, Combat Action Badge, Joint Meritorious Unit Medal, Army Meritorious Unit Commendation. CSM Brock also was awarded the Bronze Order of Mercury by the Signal Regimental Association.

CSM Brock holds a Bachelor of Science in Criminology and Sociology from Southeast Missouri University, Master in Management from Webster University, Masters in Business Administration from University of Phoenix.
